Arts Consulting & Services
I have been working for the past 12+ years providing arts-based consulting as well as creative services (e.g. program/project design, r&d, ideation) to a myriad of arts, non-profit and corporate groups. I've provided expertise in the areas of: arts-based programming, artist residencies, community/arts collaborations and creative project development. I have experience in the areas of arts related research/advisement/analysis, community research & consultation, and strategic/long-term planning.
Most recently I have worked on projects in collaboration with Visual Arts Nova Scotia where I have provided research, writing and consultation on: artists' mental health, podcast training for artists, and artist mentorship, training and development. I have also worked with organizations such as Arts Nova Scotia where I provided research and lead community consultation related to provincial arts funding for organizations and ARTSPLACE where I was hired to advise on programming, curatorial and organizational development. In the past I have also provided curatorial, programming and planning services for events such as The Creative NS Awards (Arts Nova Scotia), Nocturne Art at Night, Nocturne Noisemakers, and Moosehide Gathering (Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in First Nation, Yukon).
Apart from my work as an artist, my background also includes 15+ years teaching at NSCAD University (Regular Part-time Faculty, Dept of Fine Arts). Previously I have also held the positions of Program Director at the Yukon School of Visual Arts (2010-2012), and Director of the Halifax based artist-run centre, Eyelevel Gallery (2005-2009).
Although I'm based in Nova Scotia, I am happy to travel and/or work with individuals or groups via Zoom. If you are interested in working with me on a project please get in touch.
