Before I translated my Snail Trails images into drawings, this multi-disciplinary project began as a photo series during the COVID 19 pandemic. Prompted by my many excursions to coastal trails and beaches during the days of lock-down, these photos not only document the snails (slow) and daily journeys but also my own experience of time slowing down. Eventually I plan to exhibit this series of photos alongside my drawings and some new Snail Trail inspired sculptures (to be completed in 2025/2026).
